they are raw, but from the branches….a lot of pitch…I split them in halves forbetter seasoning

I have that exact same axe, and I love it. Best axe I’ve ever bought. But I never in my life thought of using bungee cords like that. That’s such an awesome idea.

If you use a TIRE its even easier. Screw a 15″ or 16″ tire to your splitting stump. A wide one is best. Just toss the round in the tire and split it.
