New fire caldron, do the logs go on top of the rack or at the bottom?
I purchase the huge copper fire cauldron from Smith & Hawken – it is a really deep pit with a rack that sits about 6 inches below the top lip and a retractable screen, I wasn’t sure if the logs go on top of the rack or at the bottom of the pit, if they go at the bottom of the pit then what is the rack for – it doesn’t look like something to cook on? They didn’t send instructions and I couldn’t find the answer online – any feedback would be great, I want to blaze tonight!!!

on top = the ashes fall below
On top the rack. This allows air to flow and keep the fire burning. Ashes fall through to the bottom.
